ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

Ik-oamkkaari satigur prsaadi ||

ਮੁੰਧ ਨਵੇਲੜੀਆ ਗੋਇਲਿ ਆਈ ਰਾਮ ॥

मुंध नवेलड़ीआ गोइलि आई राम ॥

Munddh navela(rr)eeaa goili aaee raam ||

The young, innocent soul-bride has come to the pasture lands of the world.

ਮਟੁਕੀ ਡਾਰਿ ਧਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥

मटुकी डारि धरी हरि लिव लाई राम ॥

Matukee daari dharee hari liv laaee raam ||

Laying aside her pitcher of worldly concern, she lovingly attunes herself to her Lord.

ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਰਹੀ ਗੋਇਲਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੀਆ ॥

लिव लाइ हरि सिउ रही गोइलि सहजि सबदि सीगारीआ ॥

Liv laai hari siu rahee goili sahaji sabadi seegaareeaa ||

She remains lovingly absorbed in the pasture of the Lord, automatically embellished with the Word of the Shabad.

ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਕਰਿ ਬਿਨੰਤੀ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਸਾਚਿ ਪਿਆਰੀਆ ॥

कर जोड़ि गुर पहि करि बिनंती मिलहु साचि पिआरीआ ॥

Kar jo(rr)i gur pahi kari binanttee milahu saachi piaareeaa ||

With her palms pressed together, she prays to the Guru, to unite her with her True Beloved Lord.

ਧਨ ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤੀ ਦੇਖਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਿਆ ॥

धन भाइ भगती देखि प्रीतम काम क्रोधु निवारिआ ॥

Dhan bhaai bhagatee dekhi preetam kaam krodhu nivaariaa ||

Seeing His bride's loving devotion, the Beloved Lord eradicates unfulfilled sexual desire and unresolved anger.

ਨਾਨਕ ਮੁੰਧ ਨਵੇਲ ਸੁੰਦਰਿ ਦੇਖਿ ਪਿਰੁ ਸਾਧਾਰਿਆ ॥੧॥

नानक मुंध नवेल सुंदरि देखि पिरु साधारिआ ॥१॥

Naanak munddh navel sunddari dekhi piru saadhaariaa ||1||

O Nanak, the young, innocent bride is so beautiful; seeing her Husband Lord, she is comforted. ||1||

ਸਚਿ ਨਵੇਲੜੀਏ ਜੋਬਨਿ ਬਾਲੀ ਰਾਮ ॥

सचि नवेलड़ीए जोबनि बाली राम ॥

Sachi navela(rr)eee jobani baalee raam ||

Truthfully, O young soul-bride, your youth keeps you innocent.

ਆਉ ਨ ਜਾਉ ਕਹੀ ਅਪਨੇ ਸਹ ਨਾਲੀ ਰਾਮ ॥

आउ न जाउ कही अपने सह नाली राम ॥

Aau na jaau kahee apane sah naalee raam ||

Do not come and go anywhere; stay with your Husband Lord.

ਨਾਹ ਅਪਨੇ ਸੰਗਿ ਦਾਸੀ ਮੈ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਭਾਵਏ ॥

नाह अपने संगि दासी मै भगति हरि की भावए ॥

Naah apane sanggi daasee mai bhagati hari kee bhaavae ||

I will stay with my Husband Lord; I am His hand-maiden. Devotional worship to the Lord is pleasing to me.

ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧਿ ਅਕਥੁ ਕਥੀਐ ਸਹਜਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਏ ॥

अगाधि बोधि अकथु कथीऐ सहजि प्रभ गुण गावए ॥

Agaadhi bodhi akathu katheeai sahaji prbh gu(nn) gaavae ||

I know the unknowable, and speak the unspoken; I sing the Glorious Praises of the Celestial Lord God.

ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਰਸਾਲ ਰਸੀਆ ਰਵੈ ਸਾਚਿ ਪਿਆਰੀਆ ॥

राम नाम रसाल रसीआ रवै साचि पिआरीआ ॥

Raam naam rasaal raseeaa ravai saachi piaareeaa ||

She who chants and savors the taste of the Lord's Name is loved by the True Lord.

ਗੁਰਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਦੀਆ ਦਾਨੁ ਕੀਆ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਵੀਚਾਰੀਆ ॥੨॥

गुरि सबदु दीआ दानु कीआ नानका वीचारीआ ॥२॥

Guri sabadu deeaa daanu keeaa naanakaa veechaareeaa ||2||

The Guru grants her the gift of the Shabad; O Nanak, she contemplates and reflects upon it. ||2||

ਸ੍ਰੀਧਰ ਮੋਹਿਅੜੀ ਪਿਰ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੂਤੀ ਰਾਮ ॥

स्रीधर मोहिअड़ी पिर संगि सूती राम ॥

Sreedhar mohia(rr)ee pir sanggi sootee raam ||

She who is fascinated by the Supreme Lord, sleeps with her Husband Lord.

ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਭਾਇ ਚਲੋ ਸਾਚਿ ਸੰਗੂਤੀ ਰਾਮ ॥

गुर कै भाइ चलो साचि संगूती राम ॥

Gur kai bhaai chalo saachi sanggootee raam ||

She walks in harmony with the Guru's Will, attuned to the Lord.

ਧਨ ਸਾਚਿ ਸੰਗੂਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਸੂਤੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀਆ ॥

धन साचि संगूती हरि संगि सूती संगि सखी सहेलीआ ॥

Dhan saachi sanggootee hari sanggi sootee sanggi sakhee saheleeaa ||

The soul-bride is attuned to the Truth, and sleeps with the Lord, along with her companions and sister soul-brides.

ਇਕ ਭਾਇ ਇਕ ਮਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹਮ ਮੇਲੀਆ ॥

इक भाइ इक मनि नामु वसिआ सतिगुरू हम मेलीआ ॥

Ik bhaai ik mani naamu vasiaa satiguroo ham meleeaa ||

Loving the One Lord, with one-pointed mind, the Naam dwells within; I am united with the True Guru.

ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਘੜੀ ਨ ਚਸਾ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੋ ॥

दिनु रैणि घड़ी न चसा विसरै सासि सासि निरंजनो ॥

Dinu rai(nn)i gha(rr)ee na chasaa visarai saasi saasi niranjjano ||

Day and night, with each and every breath, I do not forget the Immaculate Lord, for a moment, even for an instant.

ਸਬਦਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਜਗਾਇ ਦੀਪਕੁ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਭਉ ਭੰਜਨੋ ॥੩॥

सबदि जोति जगाइ दीपकु नानका भउ भंजनो ॥३॥

Sabadi joti jagaai deepaku naanakaa bhau bhanjjano ||3||

So light the lamp of the Shabad, O Nanak, and burn away your fear. ||3||

ਜੋਤਿ ਸਬਾਇੜੀਏ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥

जोति सबाइड़ीए त्रिभवण सारे राम ॥

Joti sabaai(rr)eee tribhava(nn) saare raam ||

O soul-bride, the Lord's Light pervades all the three worlds.

ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥

घटि घटि रवि रहिआ अलख अपारे राम ॥

Ghati ghati ravi rahiaa alakh apaare raam ||

He is pervading each and every heart, the Invisible and Infinite Lord.

ਅਲਖ ਅਪਾਰ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਆਪੁ ਮਾਰਿ ਮਿਲਾਈਐ ॥

अलख अपार अपारु साचा आपु मारि मिलाईऐ ॥

Alakh apaar apaaru saachaa aapu maari milaaeeai ||

He is Invisible and Infinite, Infinite and True; subduing his self-conceit, one meets Him.

ਹਉਮੈ ਮਮਤਾ ਲੋਭੁ ਜਾਲਹੁ ਸਬਦਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਚੁਕਾਈਐ ॥

हउमै ममता लोभु जालहु सबदि मैलु चुकाईऐ ॥

Haumai mamataa lobhu jaalahu sabadi mailu chukaaeeai ||

So burn away your egotistical pride, attachment and greed, with the Word of the Shabad; wash away your filth.

ਦਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਕਰੀ ਭਾਣੈ ਤਾਰਿ ਤਾਰਣਹਾਰਿਆ ॥

दरि जाइ दरसनु करी भाणै तारि तारणहारिआ ॥

Dari jaai darasanu karee bhaa(nn)ai taari taara(nn)ahaariaa ||

When you go to the Lord's Door, you shall receive the Blessed Vision of His Darshan; by His Will, the Savior will carry you across and save you.

ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਚਾਖਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤੀ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਉਰ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥੪॥੧॥

हरि नामु अम्रितु चाखि त्रिपती नानका उर धारिआ ॥४॥१॥

Hari naamu ammmritu chaakhi tripatee naanakaa ur dhaariaa ||4||1||

Tasting the Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord's Name, the soul-bride is satisfied; O Nanak, she enshrines Him in her heart. ||4||1||
